I found the Black Oak Heartwood coffee at the Tides Wharf store in Bodega Bay CA last summer and this is my all-time favorite coffee.

I was introduced to this coffee a long time ago at MHBB in San Anselmo. It's been a trusted friend since. I stray sometimes, but I always come back.

We actually ordered the Heartwood blend whole beans by mistake (we usually prefer the Meadow blend wholde beans). But its been a very nice acquaintance!

Compares very favorably to boutique roaster’s blends in the northwest.

This coffee has a mild and flavorful taste with a powerful wake up possibilities. It makes me waking up in the morning possible and always leaves full satisfaction when my cup is empty! It also never gets boring- my daughter and i have been drinking it for few years now.

5 stars based on quality and freshness, but it's not my style. It's way too light of a roast, and from the description I thought it would be a bit more robust.

Black Oak has really cracked the code on sourcing and roasting coffee. This is a lesson I learn every time I’m forced to fill in a few days until my next subscription order arrives. (Everything else out there? … "Notes of Burnt Tires and Cat Piss”.) Then the aroma-filled bags of “Meadow” & “Heartwood” arrive, and I get to remember how coffee can taste. I’m glad there’s this unique roaster out there.

This coffee is delicious. Creamy, sweet and nutty is the best way I can describe it. Heartwood is my new go to coffee.

From the grinding of beans to brewing it, the aroma is so warm and inviting! The taste is smooth and delicious. You can’t go wrong with this roast!

Last year I received a gift of Heartwood Medium Roast coffee. I enjoyed that first cup and became dissatisfied with the beans I had been using although those beans were good the Heartwood blend is superior and is my cup of choice. The savings from the automatic shipment program is an extra bonus.

I absolutely love the fresh flavor of the Heartwood blend! I grind it super fine and use an aeropress for my morning cup of coffee. I've tried other companies, but black Oak's coffee by far surpasses the flavor and quality. The Heartwood blend tastes nice and strong without the bitterness, yet I never get jittery from drinking it. I totally recommend this blend!

First time trying and I was impressed! Being a serious, only high quality coffee drinker I have to say that this was good coffee. Did not notice any benefits but I only normally drink 1 cup a day anyway.

Although I obviously haven't tried all of the coffee in the world, I am still pretty sure Black Oak is the best coffee on the planet. The monthly subscription makes it so easy to make sure we never run out!!! Thank you!!!

The light and medium roasts in this blend make it my favorite. You get a great taste of the bean in the light roast paired with the toasty notes of the medium.
